STANDARD TREATMENT PLAN

Attention To Detail

Our standard plan is a basic turf care program consisting of 7 applications. This includes all of the broadleaf weed control and fertilizer that your lawn requires. This plan does not include disease control, nutsedge control, summer stress management, or soil amendments. Many lawns will require some or all of these treatments. If your lawn develops problems not covered by this program it may be beneficial for you to move to our premium plan rather than buy the services a la carte. This plan consists of the following:

•Round 1. Winter. Broadleaf weed control and micronutrients to help improve the color of your lawn and reduce populations of broadleaf weeds.

•Round 2. Late winter / early spring Broadleaf weed control, crabgrass preventer, micronutrients, root growth stimulant, soil penetrant agent, and low nitrogen slow release fertilizer. This application will help to control and prevent both broadleaf weeds and crabgrass, provide your lawn with the nutrients it needs for spring green up, loosen your soil to allow better water penetration in the coming months, and stimulate the growth of your lawn’s root system. This application should be thoroughly watered in to activate the crabgrass control.

•Round 3. Spring. Broadleaf weed control, crabgrass preventer, iron, root growth stimulant, soil microlife stimulant, soil penetrant agent, and low nitrogen slow release fertilizer. This application will help to control and prevent both broadleaf weeds and crabgrass, provide your lawn with the nutrients that it needs as summer approaches, loosen soil to allow better water penetration, boost soil microlife (which helps lessen disease and break down fertilizer into useable nutrients) maintain its color. This application should be watered in to activate the crabgrass preventer.

•Round 4 late spring. Broadleaf weed control, iron, root growth stimulant, soil penetrant agent, and low nitrogen slow release fertilizer. This application will help to control broadleaf weeds, provide needed nutrients loosen soil to allow better water penetration, and stimulate root growth.

•Round 5 Early fall. High nitrogen fertilizer. This is a fertilizer application to provide your lawn with the nutrients that it needs to fuel growth during the cool season. We highly recommend that you seed your lawn at this time to replenish density lost during the year. We offer for sale a blue tag certified seed (guaranteed to be at least 99% weed free) blend specifically selected for the Hampton Roads and North Eastern North Carolina regions, we will also install this seed for an additional charge. No weed control is included in this application because such chemicals interfere with seed development.

•Round 6 Late Fall This is a fertilizer and broadleaf weed control application to winterize your lawn, provide it with the nutrients required to finish out the growing season and help control broadleaf weeds.

•Round 7 Late Fall / Winter This application consists of limestone or sulphur to modify the pH of your soil as needed based on the results of your soil test. It is important to maintain a pH of 6.5 - 7 because nutrients will bind to soil particles at low or high pH levels making them unavailable for your plants which wastes the money that you’ve paid for fertilizer.

•Treatment for any turf damaging insects. We include this treatment at no additional cost if needed. Please note that some insects can damage your lawn very quickly. We will only apply this treatment if damage is noted on your property or a neighbouring property. It is important that you notify us at the first sign of turf damage to avoid costly repairs.
