ECONOMY TREATMENT PLAN
Always Prepared
Our economy plan is a bare minimum turf care plan consisting of 4 applications of fertilizer and broadleaf weed controls. This plan does not include the total amount of fertilizer that your lawn will require for the year and is best suited for customers looking for basic weed control and who are willing to do their own spring fertilizer applications. Please note that because customers on this plan are not receiving the standard amount of weed control treatments we make no guarantees as to weed populations in your lawn. This plan includes the following applications:
•Round 1 Winter Broadleaf weed control and micronutrients to help improve the color of your lawn and reduce populations of broadleaf weeds.
•Round 2 Early spring. Broadleaf weed control, crabgrass preventer and iron. This application will help prevent crabgrass, reduce broadleaf weed populations and maintain the color of your turf. We recommend customers on our economy plan apply a light spring fertilizer consisting of ¼ pound of nitrogen per 1,000 sq-ft of turf in March and again in May.
•Round 3 Early Fall. This is a fertilizer application to provide your lawn with the nutrients that it needs to fuel growth during the cool season. We highly recommend that you seed your lawn at this time to replenish density lost during the year. We offer for sale a blue tag certified seed (guaranteed to be at least 99% weed free) blend specifically selected for the Hampton Roads and North Eastern North Carolina regions, we will also install this seed for an additional charge. No weed control is included in this application because such chemicals interfere with seed development.
•Round 4 Late fall. This is a fertilizer and broadleaf weed control application to winterize your lawn, provide it with the nutrients required to finish out the growing season and help control broadleaf weeds. Our standard and premium customers will receive Lime or Sulphur at this time. We offer this service at an additional cost for customers on the economy plan. It is important that your pH be maintained between 6.5 and 7 to avoid wasting the fertilizer that is applied throughout the year, so if we are not applying lime or sulphur to your lawn please measure your pH and do the application yourself.
